PURCHASING ASSISTANT

MAX GROUP CORP., a prominent national IT distributing company, is seeking a talented and hard-working individual to join its Purchasing Department at company headquarters located in the City of Industry, California. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: Your tasks will include locating product, developing and maintaining business relationships with Vendor Reps, negotiate pricing, recognize market trends and in-demand items, and achieve monthly quotas. 

 

This position interfaces internally with the Sales Department and externally with Vendor Reps.  Applicant should be able to work under pressure, work well with others, and must be detail-oriented.  This position requires very little direct day-to-day supervision.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in IT/computer distribution is preferred.  Must have well knowledge of products and channel business.  Excellent communication and negotiation skills highly desired.  Must be detail-oriented, dedicated, and be able to work under pressure in a face-paced environment.  College degree preferred but not required.
